Ed Sheeran: 'One Direction's Third Album Is Already Finished'

He also reveals whether he's involved

Ed Sheeran has let it slip that One Direction have ‘already finished’ work on their third album!

A frequent 1D collaborator, 22-year-old Ed was quizzed by MTV about whether he’s involved in the upcoming record.

He said: "I haven't done any songs on this one. I've actually kind of cut myself from giving any people songs at the moment, because I want to make my album.

"I was approached, and it wasn't so much a 'No'. It was just a 'I want to write tunes for myself at the moment'."

He continued: "Once my album's done, then we'll see, but their album is already finished."

Earlier this spring, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson both confirmed that the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Up All Night’ and 2012’s will see the light of day before the end of the year.

It will be the first record not to feature a contribution from Ed Sheeran who co-penned the tracks ‘Moments’, ‘Little Things’ and ‘Over Again’.

Ed’s as-yet-untitled second album is slated for release in early 2014. His debut ‘+’ has now sold over 1.5million copies in the UK alone.
