When you think of Irish country music, one of the first names to pop into your head might be Daniel O'Donnell.

But would you ever imagine Daniel frolicking on the beach, with a margarita in a mason jar and a floral lei draped over his shoulders? I don't think so...

In preparation for his 60th birthday this December, the country superstar and all round Irish legend has re-written the music video rule book with his latest music video titled 'Down at The Lah De Dah".

Since it first premiered on YouTube last week, Twitter has exploded with appreciation. Fans are obsessing over the happy go lucky video, which sees Daniel dreaming of a tropical getaway. Aren't we all Daniel!

The animated dolphins, beach bar and Daniel rocking a Hulu skirt while surfing the invisible waves have viewers in stitches.

One fan posted: 'Haven't stopped watching the Daniel O'Donnell video all morning. It's hypnotic.'

Another wrote: "If you'd told me this is next year's Eurovision entry called "My Hawaiian Horse", I'd have believed you.

The comedy geniuses behind the production shared some golden behind the scenes footage.

O'Donnell, who has sold over 10 million records over the course of his 40-year career, continues to delight his loyal fans.

He released his latest album 'Daniel O'Donnell 60' with producer Nigel Wright, who has co-produced recordings of many of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals, including The Phantom of the Opera.

Could Daniel climb his way to the top of the charts this week? What a birthday present that would be, but we'll just have to wait and see!
