Carly Rae Jepsen: 'Harry Styles Is Cute & Very Talented!'

Carly Rae Jepsen has praised One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles calling him “cute and very talented.”
!In our exclusive interview to promote her song ‘Part Of Your World’ from The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition, 27-year-old Carly Rae also opened up about working with Justin Bieber and professed her love for One Direction.
Gushing about Harry, Carly Rae told us: “I don’t know very much about him but I will say he’s quite cute and he’s very talented.”
Continuing about Harry’s band 1D, the ‘Call Me Maybe’ singer added: “I love the cover they they’ve done – ‘One Way Or Another’ – it’s been a favourite song of mine for a while and I think they really did a good job of it.
“Their music is good so what’s not to love?!”
Turning her attention to her touring buddy and fellow Canadian, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae said the pair hit it off immediately.
“We actually did our first duet the very first day that I met him,” Carly Rae said.
“He was in the studio and he showed me his album ‘Believe’, one of the track on there was a song called ‘Beautiful’ and he asked me if I could sing it with him.
“So literally 20 minutes later I was in the vocal booth and performing it right then and there.”
She also defended Justin against his critics: “All I see is a very hard worker who has gone through an incredible rollercoaster and I think he’s handling it really well.”
Enthusing about her involvement with the Disney classic The Little Mermaid, Carly Rae said she is “beyond excited!”
“It’s one of those experiences you’re never going to forget,” she said. "One day when I have a future daughter and some sort I’ll be very happy to tell her ‘Look! Mummy was the Little Mermaid!’”
The Little Mermaid is out on Disney Blu-ray™ and DVD on Monday 2 September.
