You just know this is going to be a summer blockbuster with two of Ireland's hottest acting talents joining forces.
Based on author Iain Reid's 2018 best-selling novel Foe, the story is set in the near future during a time where the Earth is on the brink of destruction.
It follows married couple Junior (played by Paul Mescal) and Hen (Saoirse Ronan) living on a remote farm. One night, their life of solitary is disrupted when a stranger knocks on their door.
With the pandemic continuing to impact the film/TV industry it looks like we might have to wait a little longer before we see this production on the big screen. Filming is set to begin in Australia later this year/early January.
Both actors have stolen the hearts of Hollywood and are regulars now on some of the world's biggest red carpets.
Mescal recently picked up a BAFTA for his role as Connell in Normal People, and the pair were both recently nominated in the upcoming Irish Film & Television Awards.
