Sir Kenneth Branagh is working on his latest Agatha Christie adaptation, A Haunting in Venice, and he didn't have to look too far for the perfect cast.

Branagh stars as detective Hercule Poirot, alongside Belfast stars Jamie Dornan and Jude Hill.

Based on Christie's 1969 book Hallowe'en Party, A Haunting in Venice will also feature Tina Fey, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Yeoh.

IMDB's synopsis of A Hunting in Venice reads: "In post-World War II Venice, Poirot, now retired and living in his own exile, reluctantly attends a seance, when one of the guests is murdered, it is up to the former detective to once again uncover the killer."

As the news about the cast broke, 12 year-old Jude Hill, who previously played a young Kenneth Branagh in the semi-autobiograhphy Belfast, shared a post on social media to celebrate.

It read: "So excited!😆🙌👀 I have the best team. Thank you @berwickandkovacik and @unitedtalent. Let’s go! 🙌"

Branagh previously directed and starred in Christie adaptations Murder on the Orient Express (2017) and Death on the Nile (2022).

When can we watch A Haunting in Venice?

Production is believed to start later this month in London and Venice.

There is no release date just yet except, but we'll keep you posted!
