Ed Sheeran has helped a close showbiz friend propose for the second time in a week!

During his completely sold out 80,000 capacity Dublin Croke Park gig over the weekend, Ed called support act Kodaline on stage to perform ‘Molly Malone’ and ‘The Auld Triangle’ together.

Playing the ultimate matchmaker once again, Ed told the audience: “Jay from Kodaline would love to say a few words…”

Inviting his long-term girlfriend Etaoin Corr on stage, Jay got down on one knee and popped the big question. Thankfully she said yes and the audience erupted!

Congratulating them after the show, Ed told his 14million Twitter followers: “Thank you to Kodaline and Glen Hansard for joining me on stage today to sing some tunes. And congratulations to Jay, what a way to propose!”

The gorgeous moment came just six days on from Ed helping Rixton’s Jake Roche propose to Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson backstage at Key 103 Summer Live.

Ed drove from the other end of the country in his car to get to Manchester Arena where he performed an acoustic rendition of ‘Tenerife Sea’ while Jake got down on one knee.

Immediately afterwards an elated Jake wrote: “Travelled 5 hours to sing our favourite song on his day off. I will never ever be able to repay you. Love you pal. @edsheeran”
