The brand new and incredibly poignant trailer for upcoming war movie Testament of Youth has premiered.
Based on Vera Brittain’s 1933 memoirs of the same name - largely considered the classic depiction of World War I from a woman’s perspective - the film is a powerful story of love, hope and despair in the face of death and destruction.
Set to hit cinema screens in the UK on 16th January, the James Kent directed film stars Alicia Vikander as Vera Brittain who quits her studies at Oxford University to work as a nurse on the warzone.
Game of Thrones actor Kit Harrington plays her fiancé Roland Leighton who gets called up to war, while Emily Watson, Dominic West, Miranda Richardson, Taron Egerton and Colin Morgan also star.
