Tom Jones says his marriage is still "solid" after 58 years
Sir Tom says she has "lost her spark" but she is still the love of his life.
In a recent interview Tom Jones has revealed that despite his wife of 58 years having "lost her spark", she is still the love of his life and their marriage is "solid".
The couple who are both 75 married at just 16 years old and had one son shortly after. Despite numerous extra-marital affairs Sir Tom's wife Linda, has stood by her husband, only once apparently hitting him in response to reading about his infidelity in a newspaper.
Speaking to Metro Sir Tom said his wife is a quiet person and she has always prefered to stay at home. "I don’t have parties at my house," he told the newspaper, "my wife is a very quiet person and she gets very nervous if anybody shows up."
The 75-year-old singer also spoke to The Daily Mail telling them why he and his wife had been together for so long saying, "we grew up together, come from the same place, have the same sense of humour. That has a lot to do with it. How do you walk away from somebody that you get along so well with? What’s the point?"
The 'Sex Bomb' singer has had 36 Top 40 hits in the UK and also most recently featured as a coach in The Voice.
Sir Tom's autobiography called Over The Top And Back: The Autobiography is released this Thursday.
