Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley reveals she was diagnosed with endometriosis at 15
Endometriosis affects around 2 million women in the UK.
Daisy Ridley has revealed in an Instagram post how she was diagnosed with endometriosis eight years ago.
The Star Wars actress explained how she has been suffering from pain again and her skin was also bad leaving her self-conscious and her 'confidence in tatters'.
'I tried everything' she says, but it has left her body in a mess and she has now been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries.
She continues, 'I hate wearing make up but I currently don't want to leave the house without it on.'
'HOWEVER PROGRESS IS BEING MADE!' she goes on to say with the help of a dermatologist and changes to her diet she is getting better.
Endometriosis is a condition which affects around two million women in the UK and can be extremely painful.
Daisy was virtually unknown until she was chosen to play the lead role of Rey in the most recent Star Wars film, The Force Awakens. Daisy and the rest of the cast are currently working on the next saga film, Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is due for release in 2017.
