Popular radio and TV broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan has passed away at the age of 77 after losing his battle with cancer.
The sad news was announced this morning in a family statement reading, “Sir Terry Wogan died today after a short but brave battle with cancer. He passed away surrounded by his family”.
The world began to pay tribute to Terry on Twitter immediately after hearing the sad news, including some of his close showbiz friends.
Sir Terry made his last appearance back in November before pulling out of popular charity show Children In Need due to ‘health issues’.
