Singer Pete Burns dies aged 57

His manager confirmed the sad news

Dead Or Alive singer Pete Burns has sadly died at the age of 57.

Pete’s management confirmed the news in a statement on Twitter. It read: “It is with the greatest sadness that we have to break the tragic news that our beloved Pete Burns of (Dead Or Alive) died suddenly yesterday of a massive cardiac arrest.”

Liverpool born Pete found fame when he founded the band Dead Or Alive in 1980 and enjoyed success with hits such as ‘You Spin Me Round’ and ‘That’s The Way’.

He also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 where he finished in fifth place.
