Bridgerton's Nicola Coughlan delights at colourful mural in hometown
How stunning is this 🥰
Star of Derry Girls and Bridgerton, Nicola Coughlan has been awarded her very own mural, in her hometown Galway.
Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington, is now immortalised at McGuire’s Daybreak, Raven Terrace, to celebrate the second season of the smash-hit Netflix series.
The image was painted in collaboration with Grafitti Life, by Irish artist Marcus O’Connor.
Sharing a snap to her 1.3m Instagram followers, Nicola commented: " Galway mural for Galway Gal @nicolacoughlan!
"Long may Penelope Featherington reign the ton (and our hearts) 💚🤍🧡"
Just last summer, fellow Irish artist Emmalene Blake produced her own mural at the George’s Bar for Coughlan’s Derry Girls’ character Clare Devlin.
Blake shared the finished project on her social platforms, with the witty caption: "Happy Pride to all the wee lesbians and other LGBTQ+ folk! Hope everyone is having a great weekend."
Coughlan shared her appreciation in a comment beneath the post. "I love it so much, what an honour." She also shared it with her 280K+ Twitter fans, writing "How cool is this?!!"
Fans of Bridgerton have been awaiting the return of the ton for quite some time. With series two dropping on March 25th.
We cannot wait to see what mischief and tricks Lady Whistledown gets up to.
