Nicol Harness was involved in a rather sticky situation, after receiving notice from the courts to pay a $250,000 lawsuit in the federal court in Illinois, for selling counterfeit Luke Combs merchandise.

Harness suffers from congestive heart failure and her only job is selling homemade tumblers and T-shirts through Amazon. She had stated the bought the artwork online and sold 18 tumblers, totalling a $380 profit.

Having no idea, she was being sued until after she returned from hospital to discover she had no access to the money she had earned through her Amazon storefront.

The lawsuit did not only come as a surprise to Ms Harness but also to the country artist himself, Luke Combs.

Combs has recently put out a TikTok video in response to the lawsuit, stating he was “completely and utterly unaware of this”.

Combs explained in the video that his management company does in fact have a team that investigates companies greatly profiting off counterfeit merchandise but explains Harness has wrongfully been wrapped into this situation.

Combs also stated he will be doubling the $55,000 in Harness’s Amazon storefront account and adding an additional $11,000 as well as inviting Nicol and her family to a show later this year.
