Justin Bieber is reportedly developing his own film, preparing to both star in it and be the executive producer. The 24-year-old, who has been in the public eye since the tender age of 13, announced the film in a tweet yesterday.

Posting a cartoon image of a man with a bow and arrow, Justin simply wrote one word on the post - '#cupidmovie'.

However, Justin's manager and friend, Scooter Braun, has now revealed more details about Cupid the film, confirming that his own film company, Mythos Studios, would be at the helm.

Scooter, who co-owns the company with David Maisel, a visual artist, confirmed that the film would be about the mythological character, revealing that he was excited to delve into the character he described as being known for his "playful and mischievous personality."

He said, "When this project was brought to Justin, he instantly was excited to be a part of it. Fortunately for us, like Cupid, he knows a little bit about love and mischief."

David added, "Both myself and Scooter have a lifelong love of mythology and we are so excited to partner with Justin to bring the amazing, magical story of Cupid to the world."

The story will be in experienced hands, as David was previously executive producer of the first two Iron Man films, The Angry Birds Movie and The Incredible Hulk - and he also happens to be the founding chairman of Marvel Studios.

Fans were quick to point out that this version of the character Cupid was sporting a tattoo of two wings on the back of his neck - most likely inspired by Justin's own tattoo.

This won't be the singer's first foray into the world of Hollywood, as he's previously appeared as himself in films such as Zoolander 2 and Killing Hasselhoff.
