Jules O’Dwyer and Matisse win Britain's Got Talent scooping £250,000 prize
They'll perform at the Royal Variety Performance
Jules O’Dwyer and her super talented pet pooch Matisse storming to victory on Britain’s Got Talent last night.
The pair, aided by three-legged former shelter dog Skippy, brushed aside stiff competition from the other 11 finalists to triumph, earning them a spot at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance.
A visibly excited Jules said: "I'm so proud of my dogs. I'm so proud of them. This is not real.
"I really want to thank everyone who has voted for him. I'm going to have to buy a corgi!"
Border collie Matisse’s daredevil routine saw him jump through windows, walk a tightrope, hide in bins and steal some sausages from his sidekick Skippy.
Jules and Matisse become the second dog act to win the ITV show following Ashleigh and Pudsey in 2012.
Hosts Ant and Dec revealed that over 4.5million people voted in the final where magician Jamie Raven came in in second spot and Cor Glanaethwy came third.
Jamie Raven joked: "To be honest, I think, technically I was the most talented human being. I just want to say thank you to everyone who voted."
One of the favourites to win, singer Calum Scott had a disastrous night fluffing his words and coughing through a rendition of Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’.
The immensely popular show also featured guest performances from Lord of the Dance's Michael Flatley and opera singer Andrea Bocelli.
