Jennifer Lawrence, Game Of Thrones and Beyoncé have all stormed into the new Guinness World Records 2015 book.

One of the biggest movie stars on the planet right now, Jennifer Lawrence earned her spot by becoming the highest grossing action movie heroine thanks to her role as Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games franchise.

The Hunger Games and the second movie Catching Fire raked in $1.52 billion (£928 million) at the global box office.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was also the highest-grossing post-apocalypse movie, earning more than $420 million (£255 million) in the USA and $854 million (£519 million) worldwide.

Fellow icon Beyoncé has set the record for the fastest selling iTunes album of all time after her self-titled fourth record sold 823,773 copies in its first three days.

Miley Cyrus was named most searched for star on the Internet mainly thanks to THAT twerking performance at the MTV VMAs and Shakira earned a place for being the most liked person on Facebook with over 100million fans.

HBO series Game of Thrones gained a spot by becoming the Most Pirated TV Programme with 5.9million people illegally downloading each episode.

One Direction gained a place in the hallowed Guiness World Records Book by becoming act to debut at number one with their first three studio albums.

Niall Horan said: "This really is one of our proudest moments, both for us and our incredible fans. Whenever we talk about it we always say how cool it is that we did it first. How sick is that?!"

Elsewhere, Eminem set a record for the most words in a hit single by packing an astonishing 1,560 words into his song ‘Rap God’.

Katy Perry is the most followed celebrity on Twitter with 56million followers and counting, while Vin Diesel scored the most ‘likes’ for a single post on Facebook – 6.8million - when he shared a photo of himself and the late Paul Walker after Walker's tragic death in November.

The acclaimed DiCaprio-Scorcese movie The Wolf of Wall Street now holds the title for the most swear words in a movie with a count of 687 expletives – an average of 3.81 swear words per minute. Wow.
