The first official trailer for David Fincher’s upcoming thriller Gone Girl has premiered.
An adaptation of the novel by Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl stars Ben Afleck as a downtrodden journalist who is accused of the murder of his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) following her mysterious disappearance.
Shot in David Fincher’s typically atmospheric style, the 1minute 30second clip is sound-tracked by Richard Butler’s poignant cover of Elvis Costello’s ‘She’.
Gillian Flynn has previously revealed that the film will have an alternative ending to the novel to keep people guessing.
David Fincher’s previous movies include Seven, Fight Club, The Social Network, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Zodiac and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
‘Gone Girl’ is scheduled for release on 3rd October 2014.
