Ed Sheeran Won't Confirm New Song Is About Ellie Goulding

He speaks exclusively to Entertainment NOW!

Ed Sheeran has refused to confirm that his new song ‘Don’t’ is about his rumoured ex-girlfriend Ellie Goulding.

Lifted from his upcoming album ‘x’, the recently unveiled ‘Don’t’ is an emotionally raw song about falling for someone and being duped by them.

Lyrics include: *“Don't f** with my love / That heart is so cold / All over my arm / I don't wanna know that babe.”

After the tabloid press claimed the song was about Ellie Goulding, Ed told Entertainment NOW! that it’s not necessarily about the songstress.

“It could be (about) a lot of people. People have their own theories,” he said. “The Sun newspaper confirmed I said something when I didn’t. So I’m keeping my mouth shut on that one.”

Ed added that his finest tracks come from the heart: “I think songs work best when they’re honest. I’m not trying to annoy anyone, I’m just trying to express myself and make the best out of a bad situation.”

Ed also shared his thoughts on the recently leaked Justin Bieber video, which showed the Canadian star singing racist words. Hear what he said here:

The follow-up to Ed’s multi-million selling debut album ‘+’, ‘x’ is released in the UK this coming Monday (23rd June). Cast your ears on ‘Don’t' below (WARNING: Explicit Lyrics).
