Campaigners demand CBB is axed following nudity and sex scenes

It comes after the recent controversial scenes

It may be one of the most entertaining series ever of Celebrity Big Brother, but not everybody is impressed with some campaigners calling for the show to be axed following its decision to show full frontal nudity and X-rated sex scenes between housemates.

Activists, known as Mediawatch UK claim the show should be axed from TV screens due to the ‘unnecessary’ scenes.

Speaking to a national newspaper, they said “If Channel 5 needs to resort to this sort of controversy to maintain any interest in Celebrity Big Brother, then perhaps the format needs to be allowed to die a bit more quietly.

“What’s more concerning here is Channel 5’s on demand service that allows children to watch such programmes with just a box tick to say they’re old enough. Post-watershed is one thing but the Internet means nudity is on the air 24 hours a day.”

It seems some viewers of the show agree with the recent comments after the show was hit with nearly 60 Ofcom complaints following Monday night’s episode.

Fans witnessed Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson and Essex boy enjoy a steamy shower together before stepping out completely naked into the cameras view.

Viewers took to Twitter to ask Big Brother why they didn’t blur the nudity out.

Some viewers were then left disgusted when the show aired X-rated sex scenes between Stephen Bear and playboy model Chloe Khan.

Celebrity Big Brother | Âİ Channel 5

Despite the recent controversy, it seems Channel 5 will continue with the show. In the episode which is set to air tonight (Wednesday 10th August) viewers will witness Chloe Khan talking to Big Brother in the diary room whilst being completely topless.

Celebrity Big Brother continues to air every night.
