The past 18 months have been particularly tumultuous for pop star Ariana Grande, so it seems she's decided to start the New Year off with a bold statement, telling her fans that she isn't going to date anyone - ever again!

Replying to a fan's tweet which included the headline, 'Who is Ariana Dating NOW!' sic, the pop star said, 'can they tell me too ?' sic. Despite many fans jokingly saying it was them dating Ariana, the pop star followed up her tweet.

'spoiler for the rest of this year / probably my life: it’s no one. please refer back to this tweet for future questions. 🖤' sic. The post has now received nearly 40K likes and thousands of comments.

Whilst Ariana's love-life wasn't great last year, she did have a fantastic year of music. Releasing her comeback single in April, 'No Tears Left To Cry', Ariana followed it up with new album 'Sweetener' as well as a number of other singles including 'Breathin'', and 'thank u, next', which was about many of her past relationships.

Now take a look at artists who made a comeback in 2018:

Cheryl

Following a four-year break from the music industry, former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl released her comeback single 'Love Made Me Do It' in November.

The Geordie singer performed the upbeat track on The X Factor, before putting on an amazing show at Hits Live at the Manchester Arena.

Although nothing has been confirmed, fans are hoping for a new album and tour from Chezza in 2019.

The lyrics in her song mention a number of Ariana's ex-boyfriends including, Big Sean, Mac Miller and her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson. Here are some of the lyrics:

'Thought I’d end up with Sean

But he wasn’t a match

Wrote some songs about Ricky

Now I listen and laugh

Even almost got married

And for Pete I’m so thankful

Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm Miller

Cause he was an angel'

Now take a look at Ariana's transformation from teenage TV star to worldwide pop sensation:

Not long after the song dropped, she released the music video which caused quite a stir. The music video included inspiration from a number of teen favourites from nearly 20 years ago including Bring It On, Mean Girls and Legally Blonde.

Just before Christmas, Ariana Grande announced her European tour dates and the tickets are on sale now!
