He'd been due to go on a family holiday

Actor Russell Crowe has publicly shared his anger at Virgin Australia airlines after he was stopped from taking a Segway board on the flight.

Segway boards, also known as hover boards, were in high demand this Christmas though there were warnings that the boards may not be safe.

It's implied that he was due to go on a family holiday.

The airline replied, saying that customers had been warned beforehand.

Earlier this month Amazon told its customers to throw away unsafe hoverboards with U.K trading standards seizing 15,000 products.

It's after some were reported to have suddenly caught fire.
