Newtownards Road Women's Group

Newtownards Road Women’s Group (NRWG)is a community group which provides services to local families and children in the form of child care, youth programmes and training for employment in a non-political, open and inclusive forum . They provide high quality, affordable and accessible childcare. They also provide family oriented services which support early years and young people's development in a climate of trust, honesty, inclusiveness and openness.

The grant NRWG receives from Cash for Kids will be used to provide a tailored personal developemt programme which will run for eight weeks. This programe will help to address their confidence issues, while promoting social engagement, their self-esteem and their self awareness. It will also address poor self image and bullying by providing the young people with the skills of handling conflict and self protection. All the children who took part will receive accreditation and certificates of competency.
