Lagan Village Youth and Community Group

Cash for Kids is delighted to support Lagan Village Youth and Community’s toddler group in East Belfast. With the support of Cash for Kids the toddler group have been able to get new toys and play resources. They have also been able to support the children and their mothers during Christmas, Birthdays and Easter so that these occasions can be special and joyful, despite the circumstances that they may be facing.

A representative from the group said, “Without the support and help from Cash for Kids a large number of kids would face and find the periods of happiness such as Christmas, Easter and their birthdays a lot less joyful, Cash for kids make these events special and full of happiness for them.”

Lagan Village Youth and Community Group work with local and disadvantaged children, helping to provide support and development opportunities that they would not otherwise have. They are based in an area with a high level of unemployment and a large number of ethnic families. The toddler group deals primarily with single mothers and has sadly lost 3 young mothers to cancer recently, leaving 5 little children without their mum. The group is committed to working alongside these children and supporting them in whatever way they can.
