MAFS UK's Keye confirms Davide SPLIT as he admits to 'dating app' mistake
They were fan favourites from series 10
Last updated 17th Nov 2025
He may already be slightly TikTok famous, with nearly one million followers, but Davide Anica made his TV appearance on Sunday 21st September, when he featured on the opening episode of Married At First Sight UK series 10.
Davide, a former cabin crew member, was matched with marketing manager Keye Luke by the experts, and the pair certainly had pulses racing on their wedding day. Here we take a look at their MAFS UK journey and everything you need to know about the pair.
Are Keye and Davide still together?
The pair chose to stay together during their final vow ceremony, which aired on 12th November 2025, and the boys were still loved-up at the reunion dinner party, which was filmed roughly around a month later.
HOWEVER, on Saturday 15th November, Keye shared a statement to his page to announce the pair had split. Keye was open and honest in the post, revealing he made the mistake of downloading dating app Grindr whilst in a relationship with Davide.
He told his followers: 'This is incredibly difficult to share, but I have always believed in being honest, even when it is uncomfortable.
'In the early hours of a Sunday morning, while Davide was on a flight, I downloaded Grindr. I want to be clear that I was not looking to cheat, hook up, or find someone else. I was in a dark and fragile place and reached for something unhealthy because I did not know how else to cope. What I was seeking had nothing to do with intimacy. It was an attempt to escape emotions I could not sit with, and I reached for substances when what I really needed was support.
'None of this excuses my actions. I understand how it looked and I understand why it hurt. Even without sexual intentions, I crossed a line and broke trust. I hate that Davide believed I was looking for someone else, because that was never the truth. But I fully accept the impact.
'When Davide found my profile through his, it cost me my marriage. That is something I carry with me every day.
'I have nothing but love for him. What we shared was real, both in the experiment and in the months after. He deserves the absolute best, and I am devastated that my choices caused him pain.
'Since then, I have been doing the work; therapy, accountability, and learning healthier ways to cope, so I never return to destructive patterns. It has not been easy, but it has been necessary.
'Looking back, I see how lost I was. The emotions are still raw, but I am learning to face them without running, numbing, or repeating the behaviors that hurt others and myself. Now is not the time to unpack our relationship. What matters is acknowledging the truth, the love, the mistakes, and choosing to move forward with honesty and growth'.
Responding to Keye's statement, Davide then told his own followers: 'In light of mine and Keye’s relationship status being shared, I just wanted to speak on the situation personally.
'My time on MAFS was honestly one of the most life-changing experiences of my life. From the start I showed up as my true self, I was vulnerable, open, and completely genuine.
'I went into the experiment with an open heart and a real hope of finding love and I did.
'Before the experiment I had already done a lot of work on myself, especially around my boundaries and trust.
'Trust has always been one of my biggest boundaries and I came into this experience knowing it was something I would never compromise again.”
'The night in question, I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right.
'Out of my own insecurity I created a profile on Grindr to check whether Keye was on the app only to find that my gut feeling was correct. That moment was painful and it made the trust between us break in a way I couldn’t move past. That’s why when it was broken, it was something I simply could not overcome.
'I won’t lie I was deeply hurt and shocked but with time, I’ve healed and found peace.
'Even through the pain I don’t regret being part of this journey. This experience pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. It taught me patience, communication and what it truly means to choose yourself after heartbreak.
'I don’t hold any bitterness towards Keye, he has taken accountability for his actions and I respect that.
'I genuinely wish him peace and happiness. Sometimes love doesn’t end the way we hope but it still leaves behind lessons that shape you for the better, for that I’ll always be grateful.'
Now the experiment is over, take a look at Keye and Davide's MAFS UK journey below, from their wedding day up until their final vows.
What happened on their wedding day?
Keye and Davide's wedding seemed to be a great success, with both boys expressing their attraction to one another. After saying their vows, the pair shared a steamy kiss at the altar, before heading off to enjoy the rest of their ceremony.
The couple had a lot of laughs during their wedding and seemed to get on very well with each other's families.
What happened on their honeymoon?
Keye and Davide were thrilled when they discovered they were jetting off to South Africa on safari for their honeymoon. The pair continued to get along well, but Davide did express a little frustration at Keye's use of innuendos and constant need to be the centre of attention.
However, the couple seemed to get closer than ever when Keye bravely opened up about the sad passing of his brother, admitting to his husband he uses humour as a coping mechanism.
Opening up, Keye said: "I'm going to try not to make inappropriate jokes or to deflect. My mum comes from a military background, we're a military family and that's kind of how we deal with our trauma. We make jokes and make it light-hearted because it's better to make people laugh.
"My brother was disabled; he had cerebral palsy. So, when he was born, he was only meant to live until he was one. Thankfully, he lived until he was nine, just turning ten.
"Obviously, it was a lot to deal with, and it was the same time as my parents were getting divorced as well. So, we were losing our family home and having to move.
"So, I guess the reason why, in so many situations, I deflect is because it was a coping mechanism that I always had to get me through a really difficult period where we obviously lost my brother and the family as we knew it."
After hearing his partner open up, Davide admitted he was 'really proud' of him.
Later on in their honeymoon, Davide and Keye got emotional, with Davide admitting: "I am completely besotted with you. You make me feel comfortable. You are my person. And I'm 100% falling for you."
Keye responded saying: "I feel completely utterly the same way. I am completely besotted with you. You're honestly just yeah, perfect in every way."
Did they move in together?
They did, and they wasted no time in getting intimate for the first time, admitting they both feel safe with one another.
What happened at the first commitment ceremony?
Unfortunately, Keye had to attend the first commitment ceremony on his own due to Davide being unwell, but that didn't stop the pair expressing their delight with one another. Davide wrote a letter for his husband where he confessed how much he adores Keye, going on to reveal how proud he is to have him as his husband.
Revealing the feeling is very much mutual to the experts, Keye also confessed to be falling for him, before admitting he'd love to stay.
Keye took to Instagram once the first commitment ceremony aired to reflect on the episode, he wrote: 'Doing my first commitment ceremony on #mafsuk alone wasn’t easy. From the moment he grabbed my hands, my husband was my anchor in this journey. Partnership is about lifting each other up through the joyful moments and the tough ones, in sickness and in health, right? It’s about showing up, even when it’s hard, because a marriage is built in those testing spaces, the spaces in between the easy.
'But this moment also reminded me of something my mother taught me, and what healing has revealed over and over: I am my own anchor too. And I’m blessed to be surrounded by people who steady me when I need it.
'You can’t place the whole weight of life on one person’s shoulders, it’s too much for anyone. But the beauty of real connection is knowing that when you stand side by side, you don’t have to carry it all alone. Whether it’s a letter, a check-in, or simply showing up as best you can. @e4mafsuk @e4grams #lgbtq🌈 #gay #keyeanddavide'. (sic)
What happened at the second commitment ceremony?
Things were once again all rosy for Keye and Davide during the second commitment ceremony, with the pair only having good things to say.
When it came to the decision, Keye told Davide: "Every single day with this man is an absolute joy. I honestly feel like I've know him my whole life. It's insane, it's hard to put into words how I feel because I've never felt like this about anyone. So thankyou for being you."
Davide added: "I haven't felt this safe with anyone, I have no fears with you. Everything is easy and I just want to keep growing, and as long as you want me, I will choose to stay."
What happened at the third commitment ceremony?
Davide and Keye once again rocked up to the commitment ceremony looking completely in love. The couple spoke about the amazing time they had during in-laws week, with both boys admitting they've now dropped the 'L bomb'.
After a short chat with the experts, Davide and Keye chose to stay.
What happened at the fourth commitment ceremony?
Another week, another success for Davide and Keye! The pair expressed how they'd had an amazing week together, where Keye surprised his husband with a visit to see otters (his favourite animal).
Revealing they are having more fun and getting to know each other more, the couple admitted they have great communication and praised the experts for matching them.
Both Keye and Davide chose to stay.
What happened at the fifth commitment ceremony?
The couple gushed about their amazing journey together and spoke about their future outside of the experiment, saying they are 'excited'.
Expert Paul congratulated the boys on the way they've approached and met the challenges they've faced, admitting he can see their romance is 100% real.
After saying he can't see his life without Keye, the pair looked more loved-up than ever, with Keye also admitting he can't wait to 'raise children' withDavide.
The couple chose to stay.
What happened at the sixth commitment ceremony?
After having a pretty drama free time during the experiment, Home Stays week served up some issues for Keye and Davide, something they spoke about during the sixth commitment ceremony.
Following a number of rows during Home Stays week, which resulted in Keye spending one night on his own, Keye admitted he was in the wrong for his behaviour.
The rest of the chat with the experts was very positive, with Keye and Davide expressing their love for one another, before both choosing to stay.
What happened at the final vows?
Despite Davide going into the final vow ceremony with worry that he wouldn't fit into Keye's world outside of the experiment, he left his heart on his sleeve during the vows.
He said: “Keye you have shown me that what you want and like is not what you need, you have shown me that feeling safe is possible when truly loved. You were what I needed to realise that I’m worthy of being loved and respected… and that I’m a little bit hot 😅
"When I think about our lifestyles outside of this bubble, it is clear they are very different. I need downtime to recharge once I come back from work, and I worry that your busy schedule would mean you will not be able to make time for us. I have been scared I’ll not be enough or what you are looking for in a partner, as I’m worried that once you step into the real world, the person that I am will not fit into yours.
"I know you are scared that the outside world will push us away, that we will drift, and we might not find a way to each other, but I promise you we will. Same way otters hold their hands to not drift apart I’ll always hold yours.
"There are a lot of things we have skipped over in this experiment- one of them was a promise.
"So, keye, as I get down to one knee and open my heart to you, I promise to love and to care.
"I promise to find you when you feel lost, I promise to be by your side and build a life together.
"I’ll always make you smile at least once a day.
"I promise to put myself in your shoes whenever you are upset.
"But above all, I promise to be your anchor as long as you are mine.
"From VERY enamoured to I love you VERY much.”
Listening to his worries, Keye put this husband's mind at rest, confessing Davide is everything.

Joe was unwell during the first commitment ceremony so he was unable to attend, but that didn't stop Maeve gushing about her man to the experts. Both chose to stay.
Second commitment ceremony:
After admitting to the experts they've fallen in love, both Maeve and Joe chose to stay another week.
Third commitment ceremony:
The third ceremony was the toughest one yet for Maeve and Joe, after Joe announced he'd sadly lost his grandad earlier in the week. The couple also spoke more about the arguments they have, but after some advice from Paul, they both chose to stay.
Fourth commitment ceremony:
Maeve attended the fourth commitment ceremony alone due to Joe attending his grandad's funeral. After a teary session with the experts, Maeve revealed she wanted to stay because she needs answers from Joe.
Fifth commitment ceremony:
After ending their marriage at the fifth dinner party, Maeve once again attended the commitment ceremony alone, where she was greeted with a letter from Joe. After admitting she'd found friendship but not a husband, Maeve left the experiment.
Sarah and Dean: LEFT EXPERIMENT
Wedding day:
31-year-olds Sarah and Dean were matched together by the experts. Things didn't get off to the best starts when they first met, with Sarah not happy that the experts didn't listen to her usual type. Things got even more awkward when Dean decided to perform a rap during the ceremony, before later bursting out into a song he'd written about his wife later in the day. Sarah confessed her worries to the camera, admitting she gets 'friend vibes' from Dean.
Honeymoon:
Things seemed to go from bad to worse for Sarah and Dean as they jetted off to The Maldives on their honeymoon. As well as Dean's singing outbursts annoying her, she brutally confessed she wasn't physically attracted to her new husband, going to to tell producers he would need 'tattoos and to lose weight' before she fancied him.
First commitment ceremony:
After a telling-off from the experts about her 'rude' and 'disrespectful' comments towards Dean, the pair both chose to stay, with Sarah admitting she really wants things to work out.
Second commitment ceremony:
Although they endured their first argument, both Sarah and Dean chose to stay.
Third commitment ceremony:
Despite admitting they wanted to give things another week and both writing 'stay', following honest feedback from the experts, Sarah and Dean chose to leave the experiment, with Dean thanking Sarah for her honesty.
Anita and Paul: LEFT EXPERIMENT
Wedding day:
54-year-old Anita and 60-year-old Paul were the final couple from this year's series to get married. Upon meeting at the altar, Anita didn't seem too thrilled with her new husband, telling producers he wasn't the silver fox she was hoping for, but she did want to get to know him more. During their photoshoot, Anita was optimistic about their relationship when she discovered they'd both been married before, and both have older children.
Honeymoon:
Eager to get to know Paul better, Anita asked questions as they enjoyed a honeymoon in Cape Verde, but she was left disappointed when he admitted he didn't know what love is, leading her to question why he wanted to take part in the show. Anita expressed her frustration further when Paul failed to ask her any questions, admitting she feels like he doesn't want to get to know her, and that she doesn't think he's ready for marriage. At the end of their honeymoon, Anita admitted to producers she doesn't think there's hope for their marriage.
First commitment ceremony:
After refusing to move in with Paul, the pair didn't go into the first commitment ceremony in the greatest of places. Anita chose to leave with no hope anything could be turned around, but because Paul chose to stay, the pair stayed for another week.
Second commitment ceremony:
Anita and Paul were unable to make things work, deciding to both leave the experiment during the second commitment ceremony. Although their romance didn't work out, they did confirm they've made a great friendship.
