MAFS UK's Julia-Ruth breaks silence on having '3 husbands in 1 series'
She dropped MAJOR bombshells about Joe and Steven!
We may be into the final week of this year's Married At First Sight UK, but it seems the drama isn't slowing down, mainly thanks to the return of Julia-Ruth Smith during the episode on Sunday 9th November!
As the cast enjoyed a final girls and boys night, which saw the return of cast members who'd left the experiment, Julia-Ruth dropped not one, but TWO major bombshells, leaving her fellow cast members and viewers at home completely flabbergasted.
Are Julia-Ruth and Steven dating?
Speaking to the likes of Leigh, Sarah, Rebecca and Leisha, Julia-Ruth confessed she'd been messaging co-star Steven Springett, after she slid into his DMs when she noticed he'd been viewing her Instagram Stories.
Julia-Ruth went on to explain Steven asked her out for romantic drinks, before providing receipts of her conversation, in which Steven appears to tell her she could have 'stolen' him from wife Nelly.
Despite Steven categorically denying Julia-Ruth's accusations, and instead telling the likes of Leah, Davide and Reiss that he asked her out for drinks in a group setting, it appears they weren't convinced, especially when he wouldn't show them the text messages.
After confirming herself and Steven do have plans to go for a drink, Steven's ex-wife Nelly fumed: "That's disgusting. Is this how you behave with your normal female friends, because it's not how I behave?
"I don't move like this in my life and I don't surround myself with people who behave and move like this. Clearly, we're not friends and we won't be. It's very telling of your personality. I hope you're proud of yourself. Do you go to bed happy?"
Are Julia-Ruth and Joe dating?
As if the Steven drama wasn't enough, things got even worse for Julia-Ruth, as Sarah revealed she'd recently spoken to Maeve, and she'd 'heard rumours' about Julia-Ruth and her ex-husband Joe Wood.
On the way to dinner, Maeve told producers: "I've started to question what is going on between Julia-Ruth and Joe. I've done my digging and it's not looking very good for either of them."
It didn't take long for Maeve to confront Julia-Ruth about what she'd been up to when she arrived, with Julia-Ruth admitting she went on holiday with Joe, just two days after he left the experiment with Maeve.
When Julia-Ruth confessed: "He was slagging you off the whole trip", Maeve responded, saying: "You saw what he did to me. And then you think it's alright to go on holiday?"
Despite apologising to Maeve, Julia-Ruth then confessed the pair did sleep together.
Following the bombshell, co-star Leigh said to her: "Wait, and now you're after Steven as well? You went on holiday with Joe, slept with Joe, and then when Steven came out, you slid into his DMs to go for a romantic drink?"
Clearly fuming, Geordie girl Maeve added: "I can't believe that Joe's actually done this. You don't tell someone you love them, leave them, and then two days later start cracking on with another wife, then f--k them in Lanzarote."
Julia-Ruth did confirm things between herself and Joe are now over, after he "cut things off and ended it."
What has Julia-Ruth said?
After the episode aired on Sunday 9th November, Julia-Ruth took to Instagram to explain the situations, revealing she's not dating either Joe and Steven, and joked she was the first bride to have 'three husbands in one series'.
She wrote: 'Oh dear…
'I guess the cat’s out of the bag. The truth is, I’m just a woman who was trying to find love and connection. After everything that happened during the experiment, I felt incredibly isolated and reached out to some of the cast who were already out. Joe and I ended up taking a very spontaneous trip together, and honestly, it was amazing. I hadn’t laughed that much in months, he reminded me of who I am and how I deserve to be treated.
'That said, things didn’t end the way I expected. We had planned for me to visit him again after our trip, but the day before I was meant to go, I was ghosted. I never got an explanation, and we haven’t really spoken since. It hurt, but I don’t regret the experience itself or getting to know Joe. What I do regret is that our actions caused hurt to others ( Maeve in particular ) and for that, I’m truly sorry.
'Just to be clear: both of our relationships had ended for different reasons before we connected. We had no contact during the experiment while we were married, we only spoke once we were both divorced and back at home.
'… 3 husbands 1 series, that’s gotta be a first 😅 #mafs #mafsuk #mafsjulia #reunion #mafs'. (sic)
