Cian Ducrot, the singer best-known for his songs 'All For You', and 'I'll Be Waiting' has been announced to support Ed Sheeran on his new mini UK and Europe tour.
Sharing the exciting news, Cian posted the tour dates along with an emotional video, and caption explaining what it meant to him to support Ed.
In the video, Cian can be seen sitting in a car when he's shown Ed's tour poster with his name on it. The Irish singer can be heard saying: "That is insane! Oh god! Never did I think the day would happen that I would see that. Holy sh-t! Oh my god! Nuts! Wow!"
When someone asks him what's going on, Cian replies: "I'm going on tour with Ed Sheeran, Ed Sheeran baby! My name's on an Ed Sheeran poster, that's all I need to... that's going straight in my basket and straight on my bedroom wall."
Warning: The video contains strong language
Cian explained in the caption how he would busk on street corners singing Ed's entire catalogue when he was younger and how he has been inspired by the 'Celestial' singer. He wrote: 'I remember picking up my first acoustic guitar when I was about 13 and asking my friend to teach me how to play “small bump”, I remember standing on street corners every weekend and singing Ed’s entire catalogue and looking up to him as a songwriter every day.
'I remember every time I sat down and tried to write a song as good as “gimme love” , I remember being so inspired by a guy in a hoodie playing some real songs that he wrote and thinking one day I wanna do that. Not sure how I ended up here and not sure what it even means as it really all feels like a dream right now. Thank you @teddysphotos for having me join you for this special tour. You have no idea how much it means to me! 🤍 thank you to my amazing fans for supporting me as without you these things would never happen 🫶' (sic)
He went on to explain that due to this exciting news unfortunately he would have to reschedule dates for his Irish tour, but he hoped his fans understood.
'Due to this crazy news I’m sad to have to let you know that the Irish leg of my tour has been rescheduled and all original tickets are still valid for the new dates 🤍,' he explained.
'Thank you for understanding! very excited to see you all soon 🫶🫶'. (sic)
