Leigh-Anne Pinnock reveals her favourite thing about going solo
She was part of Little Mix for 10 years
Ten years is a long time, especially in the music business, so when Little Mix decided to have a hiatus after a decade together, it was time for the members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards to get involved with their own solo projects.
Now, following the release of her debut solo song 'Don't Say Love' and her new song 'My Love' out later today (7th September), it seems that Leigh-Anne is really enjoying going solo.
Speaking to Rolling Stone as they filmed a digital cover shoot, she revealed that despite being some scary moments she loves the freedom of being a solo artist.
"The most exciting things about being solo, I guess, is just all the magic that I am about to create, and that I've already created," Leigh-Anne explained. "And being able to walk into a studio and just write about everything that I want to say, open up my heart and talk about all of my own experiences.
"I think the idea of just standing on my own two feet is just really empowering," she continued.
Leigh-Anne went on to explain that there is also a scary side to being solo. "(It's) the fact that it's all on me," she said, continuing: "All eyes are on me, which is a great thing, but also very daunting. I'm used to being in a group and like having that sort of sisterhood. So it's very different, but still good."
