Ever since her first scene on this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, where she told Angry Ginge to "get out of my light", actress and comedian Ruby Wax has been truly iconic on the show.

From her nasty eating trials to being camp leader, many fans of the show had Ruby down as a clear favourite for the final, with many even predicting she could win the entire series.

However, during last night's show (Wednesday 3rd December), Ruby became the fifth celeb to be eliminated, with Ant and Dec announcing the news live.

As well as the whole camp being visibly shocked at the news, viewers of the show also took to social media to express their shock and anger and the result.

Singer and Celebrity Traitors star Paloma Faith gasped: 'WTF she was surely going to win?'. with actress Hayley Tamaddon adding: 'Nooooooooo she needed to be in the final!😮 she’s been amazing to watch!!'. (sic)

A fan then wrote: 'Oh my god I am actually shocked! I didn't think she would go this soon', with another commenting: 'Thought Ruby was going to win?!? Wtaf'. (sic)

Another said: 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! She was my top 3 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭', with another commenting: 'Sorry what?! Did not see that coming!' (sic)

Speaking to Ant and Dec during her exit interview, Ruby said of her experience in the jungle: "I can't believe it. It was fantasy land, suddenly there's a light. We were just a cluster of loving people.

"Totally forgot the outside world, we shaved each other, investigated each other's lower regions. I was checking Lisa's bowels this morning, doesn't get any closer.

"When I signed up I thought, 'Let's give this a go', but I wasn't expecting this. This is family and I'm sad I lost them. I wasn't expecting this. I was the queen, 'How can she be abducted?'"

She added: "I got away with everything by charm. I was the queen but not voted so, I had to behead someone. When I became leader, they were my servants. When you're leader and you're so in the walls of reality, you are the leader.

"I can't believe we've been voted out but OK, so be it."
