Kicking off his career as a hospital radio volunteer in Glasgow, Nove has continued to make listeners feel great by sharing his dulcet Scottish tones on such programmes as Jazz FM, Magic 105.4 and BBC Radio Oxford. Aside from presenting every show under the planet, including Come Dancing, Mr Nove has also found time to head A1 Vox, the London sound studios. A busy man, but not too busy to lend himself to us at Magic Classical after we promised a high standard of biscuits.

Desert island classical piece: Nimrod from Elgar’s Enigma Variations

Absolutely essential film score: Probably a John Barry. Dances With Wolves, maybe?

Classical tune most likely to sing in the shower: Land Of The Mountain And The Flood – but I’m a whistler not a singer
