WhatsApp will STOP WORKING on certain phones
Make sure you can update your device!
Last updated 4th Feb 2022
Since the initial release in 2009, WhatsApp Messenger, or WhatsApp as it is more commonly known, has become one of the most popular messaging services used across the world, with text, video calls, voice notes, image sharing, and user locations all part of the service.
However, if you are an avid user of the service owned by Facebook, you'll need to make sure you've updated the app, as a brand new update will prevent the messaging app from working on millions of phones from the start of November 2021.
According to reports, anybody using an iPhone running on anything lower than iOS 10, and anybody using an Android that doesn't have a OS 4.1 operating system will lose the ability to use WhatsApp.
Phones running KaiOS 2.5.1 newer will also be suitable.
Which phones don't work with WhatsApp?
