Lots of England fans are singing the WRONG words to 'Three Lions' - are you?

As the England team are preparing for the World Cup semi final against Croatia tonight, fans up and down the country and getting into the spirit and singing football anthems including the infamous 'Three Lions', originally released in 1996 to coincide with England hosting Euro '96.
However, it turns out that many of the fans are actually singing the WRONG lyrics to the popular song, with many mistaking the name of the original World Cup trophy - Jules Rimet - for the words 'Jewels remain'! If you need a reminder of how the song goes have a listen below.
Since the song has risen in popularity again with the World Cup semi final looming, it seems that many fans have been left confused by the lyrics. Not only have some thought they were were 'Jewels remain still gleaming', some even thought it was 'three LINES on a shirt' - rather than 'three lions'!
Jules Rimet was the name of the original World Cup trophy which was stolen in 1983 and never recovered, it was named after Jules Rimet who was the 3rd President of FIFA, whose initiative started the first World Cup in 1930.

Back in 1996 the song reached number 1 in the charts and it looks like it's going to be number 1 again this time around. It seems that everyone, even those who aren't English have been getting behind the team, with Justin Timberlake even announcing he will be showing the game on the big screen on his tour before he starts performing!
George Ezra has also encouraged fans to buy 'Three Lions' instead of his own single to get it to number 1!
