Warning after van containing bags of ASBESTOS stolen from Ilkley

It contained around a dozen taped up bags

Police have put out a warning after a van containing around a dozen bags of asbestos was stolen from Ilkley.

The white Ford transit was taken on Tuesday (19 March), and has the registration number HG61 PMV.

The van also has signs on the sides and back door, reading Dakin Developments Limited.

At the time of the theft, there were around a dozen white bags of asbestos inside the vehicle which were sealed with black duct tape.

Police are asking anyone who has information to get in touch.
