A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving
A man is in hospital after a car mounted a pavement in Huddersfield and smashed into the front window of a business.
Emergency services were called to Wakefield Road at around 06:19BST on Friday morning (26 July).
West Yorkshire Police said a male pedestrian is in hospital with what are thought to be life-threatening injuries.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is in custody.
The road, which was closed for investigations, has now re-opened.
