Police officer 'threatened with machete' in Wakefield
Detectives are looking for a group who drove off in a transit van and a black car
Police are searching for a group of men after an officer was threatened with a machete in Wakefield.
It followed reports of a man with a knife on South Parade, close to where drug teams had just discovered a "significant" cannabis farm.
A group of men in balaclavas were seen in nearby Thornhill Street, armed with baseball bats and large knives.
After threatening an officer, they drove off in a white Ford Transit van and a black car.
The van was later found and has been recovered for investigation.
