Police name the man murdered at his Huddersfield home

Police investigating the death of a man in the Crosland Moor area of Huddersfield earlier this month have released his name.

He has been formally identified as Simon Stell, aged 59.

Police were called to Mr Stell’s property on Park Road, at 8:19pm on Thursday, 5 September, after he was found with serious injuries.

Enquiries remain ongoing into the cause and circumstances of his death.

A 56-year-old man has been arrested and interviewed on suspicion of murder and has since been released on conditional bail.
