Man left with potentially life-threatening injuries following collision in Halifax

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Halifax last night.
It was reported at 10:22pm that a collision had occurred on Gibbet Street at the junction with Churn Lane involving a pedestrian and a grey BMW 316.
The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
A 68-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst over the prescribed limit and is currently in custody.
Police want anyone with any information to come forward.
Motorists with dashcams who were in the area are also asked to check to see whether they have captured any relevant footage.
