Leeds United could be promoted - but it's a slim chance
Leeds United's last game of the season could see them promoted to the Premier League, but the chances are slim
Leeds United could be promoted today, but they'd need a win against Southampton, who are one below them in the table and they'd need Ipswich Town to lose against Huddersfield Town, who are all but relegated.
The Whites are currently third in the table, with Leicester already sealing the first automatic promotion place following United's 4-0 defeat at QPR.
Reflecting on the season, Leeds fan Callum Harvey said: "I think when you look at the season as a whole, it's been quite a strong season up until the middle of March, April time, we had a very good run, very good home run throughout the season.
"Unfortunately as soon as the pressure started to pile up a little around the start of April, and after the international break, we've just struggled and performances have been poor.
"I think the QPR result last week just summed a bad run of form and a bad run of performances really."
It doesn't end here though. If Leeds aren't promoted today, they could still be promoted in the play-offs.
Callum tells us: "I do think we don't have a very good history with the play offs, and when you look at the recent play off experiences, they've not been the best and the most memorable.
"I mean when you look at this squad sometimes they have struggled under pressure, you look at April as a whole the pressure was really on and the performances dropped significantly. But you just have to hope that they're motivated by it and we can secure promotion that way."
