Leeds United are heading to Dublin in pre-season, to take on 19 time Serie A winners AC Milan.

The friendly, to be played at the Aviva Stadium, will take place on August 9 - around a week before Whites return to the Premier League.

It's the first time in nine years Leeds have played in the Irish capital, and the first time they've played AC Milan in around 25 years.

Leeds United legend Gary Kelly, who also claimed 52 Republic of Ireland caps during his career, said: “It’s going to be an exciting game and certainly a great test for this Leeds side before their Premier League campaign kicks off."

"I have great memories of the last time we played Milan, captaining the side against them in the Champions League.

"Obviously as a proud Irishman I am delighted this fixture is coming to Dublin, which I know the locals will welcome, packing out the Aviva Stadium and creating a great atmosphere.”
