Huddersfield child groomer handed eight year prison sentence
The 25 year old admitted four counts of sexual activity with an underage girl.
A Huddersfield paedophile has been jailed for eight years, after admitting to multiple child sex offences.
26 year old Joshua Martin, of Primrose Hill, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court after admitting four counts of sexual activity with an underage girl.
He'd groomed his victim between last year and earlier this year, which then progressed to sexual offending.
Martin also admitted failing to comply with the requirements of being on the Sex Offenders Register.
DC Leia Houtekamer, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “We welcome the conviction and sentencing of Joshua Martin at Leeds Crown Court today.
“Martin is a registered sex offender who groomed and then committed sexual offences against a teenage victim, while in full knowledge that she was under the age of consent.
“All reports of sexual offences are taken extremely seriously and fully investigated by specialist safeguarding detectives.
“We always urge victims to come forward and can promise that the needs of victims are at the forefront of our investigations.”
