The RSPCA has launched an appeal to trace a man after a dog was kicked and beaten at a block of flats in West Yorkshire.

It happened at around 6pm on May 8th at an address in Hanson Lane, Huddersfield, with the incident being caught on CCTV.

Footage shows a man pulling a tan and white coloured dog through a corridor, before attempting to kick it.

The dog was then repeatedly stamped on.

It's not known if the man pictured is the owner of the dog, but officers want to speak to him.

RSPCA Inspector Demi Hodby said: “The RSPCA would like to speak to the man seen in this very upsetting footage as we believe he may hold vital information."

"We’re very keen to find out more about this incident, and check on the welfare of the dog involved, so we hope this individual comes forward or can be identified as we believe he can support our enquiries.”
