Leeds man becomes 33rd person convicted over 2024 Harehills rioting
He'll serve four years behind bars
A Leeds man, the 33rd person convicted for his involvement in the 2024 Harehills rioting, has been jailed for four years.
Catalin Tiuga, 42 and of Seaforth Place, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court yesterday after he admitted to charges of violent disorder and arson.
These offences occurred on the evening of July 18 2024, as part of wider unrest in Harehills.
Police have so far made 86 arrests, with 43 individuals charged in connection with the disturbances.
Officers have been scouring CCTV since in a bid to track down those responsible.
