Bradford City goalkeeper Sam Walker has extended his stay at Valley Parade, by putting pen to paper on a new two year deal.

The 33 year old joined the club last year from Charlton and has made 72 appearances across all competitions for the Bantams since.

He kept clean sheets in 24 of those matches.

Speaking to the Bradford City website, Walker said: “I am really glad to get the deal sorted and I am excited to stay on here.”

“We said it throughout the season, but there is a really strong group here with a good connection and I am happy to stay a part of that."

City boss Graham Alexander added: “I am delighted Sam has agreed a new contract to continue with us.

"He has played every league game since arriving and has been a model of consistency, both in performance and attitude."
