72-year-old woman in critical condition after stabbing in Worcester

A 72-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital after what police are calling an attempted murder in Worcester.
It happened in the early hours of this morning.
The stabbing happened on Quay Street, with the victim suffering the injuries shortly after 2am.
She was rushed to Birmingham's QE hospital for treatment, where she remains.
A 56-year-old man has been arrested by police and is currently in custody - on suspicion of attempted murder.
The West Mercia force are investigating and have closed off the road where it happened, as it's being treated as a crime scene.
