Three people are in hospital following reports of shots being fired in part of Derby.
Armed police were called to reports of shots being fired and violence at a gathering on Elvaston Lane in the Alvaston area yesterday afternoon.
It's believed a sports event was taking place there when it happened.
Videos online appear to show people in the area carrying weapons and spectators running away.
Officers say a large presence remains at the scene - and that one of the people injured was seriously hurt.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said;
"We were called to a large scale disturbance in Elvaston Lane, Alvaston at 15.51 on Sunday 20 August.
Three people have been injured, one seriously. They have all been taken to hospital.
There is a large police presence in the area and officers are expected to remain at the scene for some time.
