Today (2nd Sept, 2024) marks exactly one month since rioting, looting and disorder brought shame to the streets of Sunderland.

Hundreds of men, women and children took to the streets on the 2nd August in a night of chaos that everyone on Wearside will never forget.

The far-right mass disorder was being linked to the killings of three young girls in Soutport.

Members of the public fled in horror as thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused.

Properties and businesses were targets, a car was burnt out, police were injured and the Citizens Advice Bureau in the City was torched.
