Standoff between police & Coventry man enters fifth day

A standoff between police and a man is Coventry has now lasted over 100 hours.
It started on Sunday morning when officers were called to a welfare check on Earlsdon Avenue North.
The 41-year-old has barricaded himself inside his home, and is believed to be armed with weapons.
His eight-year-old son is also with him.
Specialist negotiators remain at the scene this morning to try and bring the incident to a safe end.
A police cordon also remains in place around the area.
Officers say everything they're doing is focused on keeping people safe and bringing the situation to an end.
Coventry MP Zarah Sultana visited the scene last night and said on twitter that she's praying for a 'swift and peaceful resolution'.
Earlsdon Primary School is once again shut and teaching online, because the site falls within the cordon.
