As the UK continues to brace a new front of cold weather, it is more and more likely you will see snow.
A lot of the UK is likely to see some snow over Thursday and Friday (January 6th and 7th), as the clash between cold air and rain takes place right over the British Isles.
Some places will get a bit of sleet or light snow, but the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Thursday and Friday for frequent sleet, snow and ice in some parts of the country.
Where will the snow be most likely to hit?
Scotland will be particularly affected, with the Highlands bearing the brunt, twelve centimetres of snow is due to fall over the next 24 hours.
Other areas of the country with substantial amounts of snow will include the North and North West of England, with snow showers expected throughout the two days.
Where else you could see some snow in the country?
People living in the Midlands and South of England and Wales are likely to see intermittent showers of snow during Thursday, but this will become more likely going into Friday.
The Met Office give this forecast for Friday: Blustery wintry showers, with a risk of hail and thunder. Showers heavy and most frequent in the north and west with some snow. Eastern areas, mainly dry with sunny spells.
After this weekend, the risk of snow is higher across the UK- which could cause disruption to travel.
Following a mild Christmas and New Year, the UK has been caught in a cold snap as a result of cold air coming from the north.
Once this cold air meets rain arriving from the west, this turns the rain to snow and results in flurries of snow to fall across the country.
