Oscars nominees announced - Barbenheimer battles again

The nominations for the 96th Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars have been announced.
At a ceremony in Hollywood actors Jack Quad and Zazie Beetz told us who the academy members had voted for as a shortlist for each esteemed prize.
Representatives from 93 countries were voting for their favourite movies, actors, actresses, costume, cinematography and soundtrack.
British Director Christopher Nolan's epic, Oppenheimer leads the way with 13 nominations, followed by Barbie which has Eight.
Nolan isn't the only brit to be recognised though with actresses Carey Mulligan, and Emily Blunt also getting nods as well as fellow director, Jonathan Glazer who created The Zone of Interest.

The nominees for the best supporting actor Oscar are - Sterling K Brown for American Fiction, Robert De Niro for Killers Of The Flower Moon, Robert Downey Jr for Oppenheimer, Ryan Gosling for Barbie and Mark Ruffalo for Poor Things
The nominees for the best supporting actress Oscar are - Danielle Brooks for The Color Purple, America Ferrera for Barbie, Jodie Foster for Nyad and Da'Vine Joy Randolph for The Holdovers, as well as Emily Blunt for Oppenheimer.
