Unprecedented scenes in our life time - the streets of Newcastle filled with singing and dancing into the early hours.

The mighty Magpies beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final and after 70 long year won a domestic cup sending fans into raptures.

What a feeling - what a team - what a manager - Eddie Howe, give him the key to the city, get him a statue, give him a Knighthood.

The whole game saw Newcastle dominate Liverpool, each goal was celebrated with the loudest noise the footballing world has ever heard.

This is Newcastle's first domestic cup since 1955, they of course won the Fairs European Cup in 1969 and now the Magpies will play on in Europe next season.

Every player was immense, they've done themselves, the club and the city proud.

It wasn't a dream, Newcastle fans will be waking up at various hours today (Monday 17th) which is normally St Patrick's Day, instead, it's St James' Day.
