Heat warning issued ahead of another 'exceptionally hot spell'
Yellow weather warnings have been issued for most of England and Wales
Forecasters say tomorrow will be the start of another exceptionally hot spell of weather across large parts of England, and Wales.
Temperatures will be comfortably above 30 degrees Celsius is some parts of the UK, with a yellow health alert kicking in from midday until Wednesday evening.
That means that there is potential for significant impacts across health and social care services from high temperatures, including:
A rise in deaths, particularly among those ages 65 and over or with health conditions. There may also be impacts on younger age groups
A likely increase in demand for health services
The heat affecting the ability of the workforce to deliver services
Indoor environments overheating increasing the risk to vulnerable people living independently in community and care settings.
It'll cover London, Yorkshire and the Humber, the East Midlands, the east of England as well as the South East and South West.
The Met Office says there's even the chance of isolated thunderstorms developing in some areas that have the yellow heat warning in place.
The North East and the North West are expected to stay cooler, with temperatures expected to stay similar to what we have seen in the last week.
